imagine you are a giant 13-year-old amongst little toddlers and little kids. A friend tells you to participate but you think you’re too old… You’re wrong. They set limits to the older kids (ranged 6-10, which makes me the outlier, by the way) and so on. So the call to release the Rabid avalanche of children eager-for-candy children sounded… Some bounded like desperate… Things and the others skipped along like little bunnies or something. I walked along with much apathy, when a thought struck me… “What do eggs and rabbits have to do with resurrection?” As I leaned over nonchalantly to pick up an egg (which was filled with jellybeans, I believe) I pondered his a bit more. “perhaps a silly marketing plan but… It has to come from somewhere.” if I recall, I remember a person who posted about this… The first to come up with the Easter bunny was the germans… Well is this true? This thought stuck in my mind like glue…
I think about this some more… Does it just have to do with the arrival if Easter? Maybe according to a different calendar, easter is considered the ‘renaissance’ of spring… Well for non christians that is… but otherwise i don’t think that those irrelevant things have or had in any way effected Easter. I wouldn’t consider myself following any religion (I mean, I’m my own god here) but i suppose the history behind it us pretty interesting. One more note: the lolcat bible has some pretty funny stuff to say about good Friday and Easter… Heh.
Well I think I’m done for now. Happy Easter if you’re christian, happy Sunday if you’re not, happy birthday if its your birthday.
